On the other hand, any other pair of straight lines meet only once and then drift apart forever into the infinity
Line is the vectorial trajectory of sequentially defined points in space and direction, carrying within itself the idea of movement. It also guides the linear construction of a story, serving as the visual element that defines and enables orientations.
The tracing of the line is made possible through mental command and the manual and/or bodily skill of the one executing it. It emerges from the abstraction of human creativity and becomes physical when there is interaction between the infinity of the blank canvas and the completeness of movement with paint.
Every artwork has the line as its foundation, whether in structure, process, detail, or final creation. The ability to represent everything complex through a simple line is astonishing. Line art has the intrinsic ability to connect the artist to their most intimate need for expression, directing their focus to the visual essence.
This technique also expresses a wide range of moods, as it reflects the artist's intention, feelings, emotions, and especially their worldview. Doria works with a distinctive, entirely intuitive, linear, and rapid tracing.
The speed of the stroke is associated with a sense of security as it immediately conveys the sought objective, stitching together the visual plot. It is in the swift stroke that contours, details, light, and shadow are developed. "Infinite to Infinite" is an exhibition that reflects the relationship with this typology of tracing.
