Architecture + Art

I like saying that my journey as an artist and architect began in 2010 with academic studies and experiments in the university setting, although my interest in drawing has been natural since my childhood. As a curious and enthusiastic person, I directed my creativity towards bold ventures such as national and international competitions, which led me to explore various design domains. After years of skills and techniques development, I set a comfortable space that matches both areas. I also contribute as a partner to the coordination of Doria+Architects, a firm with over 8 million square meters of projects worldwide.

The atmosphere of artistic expression is a prominent feature in both my professional and personal life: my grandfather being a musician and my father also an architect and a painter, served as a natural boost in my artistic-psyche. By the age of 22, I explored my singing and writing skills with the release of the EP called “Olhos Nus” in 2016. Posteriourly I turned the drawing technique into an ongoing experiment able to connect my areas of interest, enabling myself to manipulate the raw material of the stroke line and incorporate symbolic layers that convey my perception of life's linearity. Freehand drawing through line art possesses the intrinsic ability to connect me with the intimate need for expression, directing my focus toward visual essentials. I distinguish my style of drawing characterizing it by features such as intuition, linearity, and speed.

INTUITION - LINEARITY - SPEED -
